Hailed from the land of rising sun, Japan, VIGILANTE is one of the most important Prog Power metal bands in the domestic metal scene.
They started its history back in 1988, the founder Hiroshi Omoto named his own band after the song “VIGILANTE” from his favorite British Hard Rock band Magnum.
Their first album “CHAOS-PILGRIMAGE” was released in 1998, with its album’s good reputation over the world, subsequently, they had contract with German Massacre Records.
Their musical style features dramatic high pitch vocals, shredding guitar harmonies, wide variety of complex rhythm patterns by solid bass and drums and its elaborate song structures,
which is highly welcomed by fans of DREAM THEATER, FATES WARNING, QUEENSRYCHE, VICIOUS RUMORS, etc.
The current line up is Hideaki Niwa (Voocals), Hiroshi Omoto (Guitars), Kazuaki Horie (Guitars), Makoto Unno (Bass), Shunji Fujino (Drums).
On Dec. 2017, they independently released long awaited 5th album “TERMINUS OF THOUGHTS” with a perfect balance between tradition and progression in all metal music.
