The Contradiction is a mix of progressive metalcore, arab metal and blackened deathcore. It is 4-piece band from Czech Republic, although the members are originally from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Poland.

Band has worked on their music together with such musicians as Dmitry Demyanenko (Shokran), Sergey Raev (Obscure of Acacia) and Vladimir Lekhtinen (Second to Sun). Its music dedicated to the famous dark sci-fi setting of Warhammer 40000 so it’s also described as “warhammer metal” by some fans.

Contra has also shared the stage with Rings of Saturn (USA), Shokran (RU), Traitors (USA) and The Voynich Code (PT) in Czech Republic.
