OAKMAN is Marine (lead voc/guitar) and the Gayaud brothers, Geremia (bass) and Jesse (drums). They come from the north of Lyon, a place that could be set between Twin Peaks and Fargo. Their music is alt-rock. They play loud, only with a touch of romanticism.
They love Basement, Citizen, Manchester Orchestra, Biffy Clyro, sing in english, and write about relationships mostly, things unsaid, nature too, solitude and hope.
Part of the emotion comes from the strength and power of the sound, but from Marine's voice too, sometimes raging, sometimes delicate, building up a contrast between aggression and solace.
